Rock’n’Roll only knows one direction: straight ahead. That’s exactly where Chugg A Lugg come in. Three musicians, original songs, no detours: guitar, bass, drums and three voices. Loud, direct and with just the right amount of dirt under the fingernails. Chugg A Lugg call their sound Pint Rock – handmade, no-frills Rock’n’Roll with hard rock roots, catchy hooks and an unmistakable fondness for Rock’n’Roll, cold beer and a damn good time. The name says it all: “Chug-a-lug” means to empty a drink in one go. Chugg A Lugg approach Rock’n’Roll much the same way – pour it, crank it up, knock it back. Frontman and guitarist Bobby Maddox brings the voice and the guitar riffs as a native speaker, Andy Gi lays down the foundation on bass and vocals, and Michael Yeneroglu drives the songs forward on drums and vocals. What comes out of three musicians isn’t meant to be complicated. It’s meant to sound big, stick with you and work live. Because that’s exactly where Pint Rock belongs: on stage. Whether it’s a rock club, pub, concert hall or festival – Chugg A Lugg don’t see their shows as simply playing through their songs. The band wants to make a night of it together with the audience: loud, up close, energetic and with enough room for that moment when a concert turns into one hell of a Rock’n’Roll party. The musicians bring many years of band, studio and live experience to the stage. But Chugg A Lugg isn’t about yesterday. It’s about the next song, the next show and the next pint.
